Salve All,

the "too many fingers on the keyboard department" struck again. This time The Register published this piece of text

'We need a new Geneva Convention to protect all citizens from snoops' .

I would like to point the dear reader to the Geneva Conventions entry in Wikipedia

Please allow me to quote from the entry:

The Geneva Conventions ..... establish the standards of international law for the humanitarian treatment in war.

The Geneva Conventions are rules that apply only in times of armed conflict and seek to protect people who are not or are no longer taking part in hostilities; these include the sick and wounded of armed forces on the field, wounded, sick, and shipwrecked members of armed forces at sea, prisoners of war, and civilians.

Undoubtful something has to be done quick to protect citizens!

But as we're not in an armed conflict but have to solve civil problems of our society, why in hell do they think we need a new Geneva Convention when the Geneva Convention has NOTHING to do with solving the problems? Is this the new alternative reality striking?

Best regards,

Howard
